Step 1: Merchant Website

The customer enters their credit card details on a secure web page. The secure page can be hosted on the merchant site or on a secure page hosted by Realex Payments.

Step 2: Acquiring Bank

Realex Payments sends the authorisation request to the acquiring bank.

Step 3: Card Schemes

The acquiring bank sends the transaction through the card schemes before proceeding to the Issuing bank.

Step 4: Issuing Bank

The transaction is authorised and fraud checked at the Issuing bank.

Step 5: Transaction Complete!

Transaction complete! The whole transaction process from Steps 1 to 5 takes just 3 to 4 seconds.
